Honest I am (Award & Tag )

Honestly, I don't know how honest I am personally & I also don't know how honest are my blog posts. But considering the fact that I have been awarded with this "Honest Scrap" award by two of my dear fellow bloggers (Mahesh & Starry-eyed nut ), I can take little pride (being honest here, not taking more than little pride :) ). I also know with award comes the responsibility to constantly keep up the expectation and not let them down who has made my blog special. Many a thanks to both of you guys (Mahesh, your one is bit more special as this is my FIRST AWARD).

More over, I am also being asked to walk an extra step and that is I have to tell 10 honest things about myself. So, without wasting any further space, here goes my list (with no particular order & I also have many more honest things beside these ones, just that these are coming to my head right now).

@Being Me, I am dead home sick. I know Bengalis are normally referred to as homesick, but I think I am too much and I don't mind :)

@Profession & Career, Give me power and responsibility and the task in limelight/in focus, I will deliver it may whatever come. If you assign me a job which no one is bothered about, you better take care of the task yourself.Without result & recognition, I just can't do it.

@Education, I was so much disappointed when I got to know that there is no Nobel prize in Mathematics. For a guy who can do maths and only maths 24*7, you can guess how heavy that setback would have been and I was only 12/13 then

@Friends, Other than family members, friends are my lifeline. I don't call anyone friend in accordance with the modern culture, rather I choose them very carefully and I am very happy with my decision with the few jewels I have in my life today.

@Childhood mischief, I once was caught while stealing litchi from my neighbour's place and no one knew this till date, not even my wife :)

@Personality, I don't take anything lightly that I do.I had a fight with my room mate in hostel, because he was laughing with his mouth wide open after loosing the badminton double match (he was my partner) during hostel reunion.

@Childhood dream, I was 13 when Dewana was released and I was a Shahrukh fan instantly.I dreamt of playing younger brother of Shahrukh in movies in future:P

@Regret, In spite of all my achievements till date, still I feel sad for not getting admission to an IIT & this is the only reason I wish if everything could have started again :(

@Missing trait, I just can't lie. When I am lying, I know it is visible on my face.I wish I could have lied more convincingly

@All the above statements are true and honest to the best of my knowledge :)

@Mahesh,

I am not that good to deserve a nobel in maths. But as i said, I can't do a single thing without recognition.So, if there is no Nobel prize, why should I do maths, what should I aim at :P?

BTW, this thought was when I was 12/13 :D

hmmm, quite a few facts about u here...congratulations for the award...but Mustaf, i remember you mentioning this once (i dunno on whose blog) that u don't prefer commenting on tag post, so i am a bit surprised that u took up a tag urself...good :)

tc :)

@Starry-eyed nut,

You guys are getting me wrong, I am not dedicated. Dedicated are those who works with same passion and dedication all the time, I said i only work when there is recognition :) You give me a task with lesser importance and then you will realize how "dedicated" I am :)

@Neha,

You are right.I said this on Shruti's post.Personally I don't like this tag idea of blogsphere, 1>it compells you to write about something and I believe a creative art (right or wrong, that's the way I see blogging) is not at its best when it is created out of compulsion and 2> Some tags which were floating that time were brand tags, a list of questionnaire and some other I forgot which I found not so interesting. This one I took because i loved sharing some honest facts with others and there was one more tag about dumb or so, which also I liked, but no one tagged me.Please anyone, don't tag me now :P

In brief, tags are fine with me as long as it is not forced to take.If it is left to my choice, it's perfect :)

ongrats on you award! you have written the 10 things very honestly. BTW are you from Ranchi? Because Ranchi is one place where I saw lichi tree in every compund:)

Even I choose my friends very carefully, but once chosen, I am very loyal:)

@Antarman,

Thanks for your comments. I am from a suburb in West Bengal, very near to Kolkata and in West Bengal, you would find litchi tress very frequently, specially in villages.

Mustaf, I salute u for being good at maths coz Im the worst at it :)a maths exam used to give me night mares.
About your IIT dream, I must tell you something, we humans wish for loads of things, but its just a wish, our desire, We do not know if the things that we feel is good will be the best for us in future. God goes a step ahead and grants us something which is the best for us. Do we cry and stamp our feel in our own ignorant bliss, but God knows that h has picked us up and has picked us up and has kept us on the right path. We should be thankful to him for giving us the best, granting something which was beyond our wish lish and much much better :)Im sure God had blessed you with a beautiful life:)
It was great to know about you!Have a great week ahead!

Congrats muustaf! You really deserve this award....at least after reading your tag I felt so.

Or else, how many would admit they need appreciation for the work they are doing? I really liked your frankness!

You didn't do math, cause there is no Nobel prize for it...my god! I never liked studies because they have math in it :-) I'm such dumb :-(

And I wish you luck for ur SRK dream to come true :-)

A nice blog..

@A New Begninning,

I absolutely agree with you that GOD knows best which wish of our is best for us. Earlier I used to ask Him, please give me this give me that, now with maturity I only tell him this is the situation, now you give me what is best for me :)

But you know some wishes you want them so badly, those are so obvious (getting into an IIT anyone's dream i guess) that you feel if GOD has granted that :(. Yet, I agree may be it was not best of me or there were more deserving than me, GOD has to be fair correct :P

@Destiny's Child,

Thank you :)

Little one is doing very good, getting naughtier. Actually he is giving sleepless nights to his mother and grandmother because they are in my hometown. Dad is safe as he had to be back to work :D

Mustaf said...

@Divsi,

It was good to know there are others like me, may be from now on, I would not feel that much shame for that act of mine :D

@Manivannan,

Thanks, I did not say that I did not do math because there was no Nobel prize. But in that early teenage days of mine, it disappointed me :(

@Suffix,

Welcome to my blog :)

Thanks. I do not consider myself as a smart kid, but if people like you consider me smart, than I would take it as if I was wrong :P

BTW, I dont know what alphabets are those at the beginning of your name and what does it say?

Mustaf said...

@RGB,

Welcome to my blog :)

That was nice :).So, may be looking at it positive way, anyway I don't want to be among any Tom dick, Harry, so me without a Nobel prize is just fine for me I guess :D

@AS,

Welcome to my blog :)

I seem to be an odd man out here as far as Math is concerned. But math is not that bad yar or may be Love is blind and I was in love with math, so did not notice the evil side of it :P

@Madhu Rao,

Wish all to see you again .Do keep visiting :)
